Summary in English:For the first time since Travels to the Nanoworld I have collected nano-related articles in this volume. Back in the 90s, travelling to the nanoworld was a major adventure requiring resources that were only available to a small number of research groups. By now, however, the field has become mainstream and there are many nano-themed research centres around the world. Therefore, it is no longer possible to give a representative overview in a single, reasonably accessible volume. Instead, this new collection offers some "postcards" from the various destinations that nanoscientists now go to. Like my earlier nanoworld book, the chapters covering specific research results are at the core of the book and divided into into a more biological section (natural nanosystems) and a more technology-oriented one. These two are flanked by a general introduction and an outlook.
